Powered by a 2,300 ihp quadruple expansion steam engine. Sold Canadian in 1945 (C.174976). Sold for use as a breakwater at Toronto Harbor in August, 1969.
JOHN FRITZ Steel barge (U.5.77308) built in 1 898 at W. Bay City, Michigan by F.W. Wheeler & Company (Hull #125) launched June 22, 1898, for Bessemer Steamship Company: 436 X 50 X 24*, 4,693 gross tons. Scuttled as a breakwater foundation 10 mites west of Toronto in 1968.
