BETHLEHEM (2), US.215153, Bulk Freighter built in 1917 by Great Lakes Engineering Works, Ashtabula, OH (Hull #167). Launched April 18, 1917 as a) MIDVALE for Johnstown S.S. Co., Cleveland. 600' X 60' X 32'; 8271 grt. Powered by a 1,900 triple expansion steam engine and  three Scotch boilers. Sold in 1925 to Bethlehem Transportation Corp. and renamed  b) BETHLEHEM (2). Repowered in 1951 with a 3,500 hp four cylinder Skinner Unaflow steam engine and two Babcock & Wilcox water tube boilers. Sold to Danish interests in 1974 and towed to Santander, Spain for dismantling.
