Kirk; Your efforts are to be highly commended. I am primarily a modelrailroader and also model in 3/16ths, S scale. During the past few weeks have somehow grown interested in Great Lakes ore operations because of my intense fascination with the Hulett ore unloaders. I'm trying to figure out the best way to gather information to build a whaleback freighter, and have just now run across your photos. Can you recommend certain research material to acquire in order to build a duplicate of your model? (Or at least as close as possible to what you've done). Respectfully, Mike Byers
