Hi there! I wanted to say thanks for all the tips on constucting the lindberg tug for RC. My son and I added a couple of kinks of our own and had great results. I glued the deck down and ran a brass tub from below straight up through the deck setting it in RTV Silicone. This made it water tight. The rudder post was extended with slightly smaller brass tube and a handbent eyelet rudder horn was made. I replaced the deckwiinch with a miniature servo mounted on 1/16" plywood for rudder duty. I drilled the ply and glued #2 nuts to the back side and transfered the holes to the deck. I then coated the back of the deck with packing tape and screwed the ply up tight against the backside of the deck after I puttied the ply with RTV. Doing this made a water tight gasket at the flange. I then bent up a pushrod to connect the two. I plan on putting a verticle capstan drum on top of the rudder horn to cover the servo and I painted the pushrod the same color as the deck. I did ad some flotation, and the propulsion is from a S3003 servo. She was running in 20 mph gusts with 4" waves just fine and stayed completely dry Thanks Again...My 6year olds and I had great fun! Dave
