This link has some photos of two track carfloats in Alabama along with a neat looking single track narrow gauge? logging railroad carfloat. The aprons in the photos are typical river inclines where the apron can be moved up and down the incline as the river level shifted. (search on train ferry) http://www.alabamamosaic.org/
