The Dravo Corporation built 7 "New York Class" tugs for the PRR in 1959 and 1960. They were the NEW YORK, INDIANAPOLIS, CINCINNATI, PITTSBURG, HARRISBURG, TRENTON, and JERSEY CITY. They were 105.5' long overall (98.4 registered) 26.3 feet wide with a 12 foot draft. They were powered by a 1200 hp EMD 567 diesel. With a main mast that lowered, their highest fixed point above the water was the fire monitor at 31.5 feet. They were all based out of Jersey City.************"New York Harbor Railroads in Color Volume 2 by Thomas Flagg has a couple of photos of the sister tugs. The other source of this info is "Transportation Lines on the Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Coasts 1968- Transportation Series 5" US Army Corps of Engineers.
