I am building a model of the whaleback steamer JOHN ERICSSON when she was owned by the Bessemer Steamship Company from 1896 to 1901. In the black and white photo I am using for reference the aft superstructure looks slightly darker the the, apparently, white window frames and trim. I would appreciate any information regarding hull and structure colors for the boat during this period.
